If you encounter the error message "Error processing payment, please try again later or contact support" while paying your fine, please refer to the below tips to fix the issue.
If you need to make an urgent payment try a different credit card or please contact the municipality directly as they may take the payment over the phone.
These are some reasons why the payment may not be processing:
- You currently have a pop-up blocker installed which is restricting the additional 3D Secure page from opening. Please disable the pop-up blocker and then you will be able to complete your payment.
- Your bank is currently not enrolled in the 3D Secure verification program. This can be rectified by contacting your bank directly for further information on how to activate the card.
- You have tried refreshing the page while the payment is in progress
- Payment is declined by the credit card provider
- Internet has had a drop in connection
- You are using a method of payment that is not accepted, we do not accept AMEX, Visa Debit or Debit MC
Please investigate the following:
- If you are using Google Chrome, do not use an autofill option on your browser or scan your credit card
- Try a different browser or clear the cache if the issue persists.
- If you are using a mobile device we recommend trying a different device such as pc or laptop
- When entering the credit card information please ensure that you do not include any dashes or spaces.
- Please ensure that the credit card is a valid card, and ensure you are entering the expiration date as MMYY (i.e. void of any hyphen or dash). If the issue persists, please try another card.
If you do not have a Verified by VISA or MasterCard SecureCode password registered at the time of checkout (not your banking PIN) and if your financial institution participates in this program, you will be asked to enroll at the payment step. You will then be redirected to your credit card’s issuing bank to set up your account. For further inquiries, we suggest contacting your financial institution.
